Two Way Communication Between ScottradeElite QuoteGrid and Trade-ideas Is Possible

Those who are using Scottrade's ScottradeElite are familiar with QuoteGrid and Trade-ideas tools but many are not familiar with the two way communication between them. Even when you talk to Scottrade Customer service, they say that communication is possible only one way i.e "Trade-ideas" to "other ScottradeElite tools like QuoteGrid".
I am sharing with you a trick, with which you can achieve this excellent two way communication.
1. When you link QuoteGrid from within trade-ideas and when you double click on a ticker symbol, the same ticker can be populated in the QuoteGrid. This can be considered as data flow from trade-ideas strategy to QuoteGrid
2. You can create a QuoteGrid with a list of stock tickers, which would be former runners or stocks related to a given industry or sector. You can then check the QuoteGrid name in "Configure --> Symbol Lists --> "Only the following list" on Trade-ideas. When you do this you can get the signals from a trade-ideas strategy for the list of tickers listed in the quote grid. How is this?
Only problem with the QuoteGrid is that you have to save it explicitly when you add a new symbol so the ticker can show up in the trade-ideas alert. I have made a request to Scottrade on improved QuoteGrid functionality. one of which is "ability to configure auto save option just like the one we have on ScottradeElite.
